Write, record, and produce an original song!

During this class, students will work in small groups to write a completely original song with lyrics, melody, and musical accompaniment. Students will learn how to apply the basic art of song structure, chord progressions, and music theory to their songs. They will get hands-on experience recording and mixing each track and will leave with digital copies of their work to share with friends and family. We'll even talk about how to get your music on iTunes and Spotify.

*Headphones and laptops with music software are required for this course. Apple laptops are preferred but not required.

Note: This course is designed to be a 9-month committed class (from August 2021 to May 2022). Topics will continue to build upon previous lessons. If you enroll for this class, please plan to commit for the entire season.
